Professional Drain Tile & Hydro Jetting Services

At The Drain Jetter, we specialize in clearing drain tile using a combination of camera inspection, mechanical opening (if needed), and precision hydro jetting.

Unlike companies that simply snake the line and “poke a hole,” hydro jetting restores full internal diameter of the pipe. We use high-pressure water directed through a specialized nozzle that scrubs the inside of the drain tile, dislodging sediment, cutting out roots, and restoring flow. This method is safe, effective, and the most thorough way to clear footing drains without excavation.

When groundwater builds up around a home, it puts pressure on the foundation. Over time, that pressure forces water into the basement through the wall-floor joint, cracks, or porous concrete.

A functioning drain tile system (also called “footing drains” or “foundation drains”) is designed to prevent this by collecting groundwater and directing it safely away from the foundation, usually into a sump crock or storm line.

In Mid-Michigan, where the soil contains a high percentage of clay and we frequently deal with saturated ground during spring thaw and heavy rains, keeping drain tile clear and free-flowing is essential.

When a drain tile becomes clogged with mud, silt, iron ochre, or roots, water has nowhere to go and a dry basement quickly turns into a damp, musty, or flooded one.

Before looking into much more costly basement waterproofing solutions make sure to check and see if the culprit is your drain tile.
